DIY PUMPKIN KEG

Looking for a fun festive way to serve your seasonal beers this Halloween or Thanksgiving? This pumpkin keg is easy to create with just a few simple items. All you need is a pumpkin, knife, spoon, and a pumpkin tapping kit. We used this one from Amazon: Party On Tap Kit.  Of course, a pumpkin keg isn’t a party without beer. We highly recommend using our Pumpkin π Ale (ABV 5.9 | IBU 13). This beer has hints of pumpkin, cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon, and spice. It’s “the” beer to pair with the season. Find it available on our $6 growler fill list this Friday (10/30). Follow these simple steps to add a festive spin to your holiday.

Step 1. Find your pumpkin and decorate it however you desire. We suggest painting it!

Step 2. Take your knife and cut a hole in the top of your pumpkin, this will create the lid for your keg.

Step 3. Use your spoon to scoop out the inside of the pumpkin. Hint: keep the seeds and roast them for a delicious snack.

Step 4. Use the coring tool (comes in the pumpkin tapping kit) to create a hole in the pumpkin to insert the tap.

Step 5. Insert the tap into the pumpkin. To secure the tap you will twist the locking nut onto the tap from the inside of the pumpkin.

Step 6. Pour your choice of beer into the pumpkin.

Step 7. It's officially tapped and ready! Time to pour.

Step 8. Enjoy with friends or family.
