While we continue to focus on great beer and food, we are also doing our part to pay attention to our impact on the environment. In 2019, Four Day Ray Brewing will continue to improve and focus on food waste and sustainability practices within the restaurant and brewery. In addition to the trending paper straw movement, we’ve started implementing new practices regarding responsible operations.
Here are a few things we have implemented in 2019:
1.) We are using all compostable packaging for food.
2.) Straws are compostable and are by request only.
3.) All waste that is compostable is composted through Green with Indy.
4.) Since we opened in 2016 most of our spent grain that is used during brewing has been and will continue to be donated to local Indiana farms for animal feed.
Improving our sustainability practices has always been at the forefront of our minds here at Four Day Ray. As we head into year three and beyond, you will continue to see us finding new ways to do our part to raise the bar to improve our eco-friendly practices.
